Name Change Guidelines

Personalized name recommendations based on the Namenology method. Please review the 5 essential guidelines below before selecting your new auspicious name.

01

Step One · Preliminary Assessment

Surname Evaluation

Evaluate your surname number before choosing a suitable new first name. Under the Namenology method, the surname determines which first-name numbers are compatible and eligible for consideration.

Interactive Surname Evaluator (Namenology Method)

Calculates surname numbers from 1 to 100 based on the Namenology numerical and planetary system.

Step Three · Evaluation Method

Name Change Options

Explore the available options for changing your first name or surname based on your preliminary evaluation. We always evaluate the surname number first.

Category 1

Your Current First Name Is Favorable

Option 1: Keep your current first name and change your surname to one with a favorable number.

Target Score: 100%

Option 2: Keep your current surname and select a compatible new first name, provided your surname does not reduce to a single-digit number of 2 or 7.

Target Score: 80–100%, depending on your surname group.

Category 2

Your Current First Name Is Unfavorable

Option 1: Change your first name while keeping your current surname, provided it falls into Group 2 (Acceptable) or Group 3 (Very Good).

Target Score: 80% or 100%, depending on your surname group.

Option 2: If your current surname is unfavorable and reduces to a single-digit number of 2 or 7, both your first name and surname must be changed.

Target Score: 100%

Note 1: The new surname must be selected from the recommendations provided by Namenology. You may not use an alternative surname or any surname of your own choosing.

Note 2: All recommendations are based on the Namenology evaluation method. Scores are evaluation targets, not guarantees of life outcomes.

04

Step Four · Frequently Asked Questions

Name Change FAQs

The evaluation focuses on two main components: the new first name number and the combined first name and surname total.

If both components have favorable numbers, the evaluation target is at least 80%. If the surname belongs to Group 3, which ranges from good to best, the evaluation may reach the 100% target under the Namenology method.

These scores represent evaluation targets and do not guarantee specific outcomes in life.

The evaluation has a total weight of 100%, distributed as follows:

  • First Name: 40%
  • Surname: 20%
  • Combined First Name + Surname Total: 40%

Although the surname accounts for 20% of the total evaluation, we assess it first because it determines whether it can be used to select a suitable new first name.

No. In most cases, we recommend changing the first name while keeping the current surname. However, if the surname belongs to Group 1, you must use an eligible alternative surname together with a new first name.

You may still choose to adopt a new first name and/or surname for personal use without changing your official documents.

However, you should embrace your new name through your feelings, thoughts, mind, and spirit, and genuinely believe that the new name and surname are yours.

Although the effects may not be as strong as changing your name on official documents, we believe that a new name and surname with favorable numerical and planetary influences can have a positive impact on your life.

Name change recommendations are prepared manually, not automatically. Please allow 3–5 business days for processing and specialist mathematical modeling.
